 Professor Alok Chansoria 

Descending from the family of renowned freedom fighters (father Late M.L. Chansoria was President of M.P. Goa Freedom Fighters Association, maternal grandfather Late Pt. Thakur Prasad Sharma of Varanasi was imprisoned for nearly 04 years by the British, and wife Professor Divya Chansoria is great-granddaughter of Late Pt. Vishnu Dutt Shukla, who happens to be one of the founders of freedom movement in Central Province), Professor Alok Chansoria, born in Varanasi in 1960, is an illustrious scholar of English Literature. He has been the Head, Department of P.G. Studies in English and Head, Faculty of Arts and Social Sciences of  Hawabagh College (An extolled center of higher education founded by Methodist Church in India in 1928) and has been the Chairman of the Board of Studies in English and Other European Languages, Rani Durgvati Vishwavidhyalaya, Jabalpur for two terms and a member of the Central Board of Studies in English, Dept. Of Higher Education, Govt. of Madhya Pradesh. RDVV Jabalpur has been pleased to appoint him as member of more than 60 Selection Committees constituted for the appointment of Asst. Professors in English in the past 15 years. In addition, he has been a Member of the Governing  Body and a Member of the Board of Studies in English of many Autonomous Colleges affiliated to Rani Durgavati Vishwavidhyalaya Jabalpur. Besides, he has been the Chairman Text Book Corporation of M.P. His literacy accolades are B.Sc., M.A. English, Ph.D. in English Literature and LL .B. (University Gold Medalist).

 Professor Alok Chansoria’s erudite ingenuity is manifest in his 04 major publications, namely; Nehru’s Literary Works (1999), Emotions of Shakespeare’s Tragedies (2010), Nabhinal  (2014-A Collection of his poems in Hindi and English) and New English Literature of the Decolonized Nations (2018). His fifth Book, Recollections of Indian Freedom Movement is under publication. Besides, he has published a number of research articles in various national and international journals of repute which exhibit his penetrating critical insight on literary subjects as well as matters of national importance. Many research scholars have completed their doctoral dissertation under his able supervision and have bagged laurels and many scholars continue to pursue their research under his adroit supervision. Also, he has organized a number of national-level seminars, workshops, symposia, etc.
